WHAT THE PULSE HUB DOES IS...
CONNECT START-UPS TO RAÍZEN'S BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES!

We are the meeting point where start-ups, universities, investors, executives, and organizations from different sectors come together to shape a smarter future.

We make room for start-ups to create technology, innovate, and gain the opportunity to implement solutions in practice, responding to Raízen’s development needs!

Raízen, in turn, has innovation and technology in its DNA and aims to enable ideas, solutions, and new business models. Our hub is an independent and flexible connection environment that allows this task to be done well.

We look for solutions to challenges in start-ups already registered and also in the market.

Our work is based on 4 pillars:

POSITIONING

Maintain Raízen as a proponent and contributor to the development of the innovation ecosystem in the markets in which it operates.

INTELLIGENCE

Continuously monitor the evolution of the innovation ecosystem, its entrepreneurs and start-ups.

Culture

Serve as a vehicle for accelerating the evolution of our teams’ agile, lean, and digital mindset.

ATTRACT TALENT

Attract people with an inquisitive profile, different points of view, and who believe in diversity and collaboration as values.

Our purpose:

ENERGIZE BUSINESSES THAT SHAPE A BETTER AND SMARTER FUTURE.

We seek to take advantage of the inventive capacity of start-ups to find solutions and technology that add value to the entire Raízen ecosystem.

Our methodology has 4 steps. Learn more about them:

It all starts with immersion: we map and identify project opportunities.

We map start-ups in the market and those already registered and qualified in our database, with the identified challenges as a pillar. If you see synergy between your business and our areas of expertise, register your start-up!

The next step is qualification. We interview the mapped start-ups to identify those that have synergy with the challenge and we do matchmaking with the business area that has the opportunity.

We then go through the validation step. After the introduction, the area chooses one or more start-ups with which they would like to do a Proof of Concept (POC) or pilot project. We designed the pilot together: business area, Pulse, and start-ups.

In this process, we determine the scope of the pilot, business area, testing time, how this technology will be used, pilot success criteria, and values. In the the pilot’s construction and validation stage, we took the opportunity to measure results, build, and learn—a constant cycle.

If the pilot is successful, the start-up can become a Raízen supplier! Our goal as an Innovation Hub is to connect your solution with opportunities. So, if you have the energy to innovate, connect with Pulse!

What can the Hub do for a start-up?

  • We enable connections with different market players (universities, investors, other start-ups) and with Raízen itself. In other words: it's as if Pulse positions start-ups in a kind of “Raízen evaluation funnel”;

  • We facilitate the implementation of pilots by offering mentoring and tips from those who understand the start-up world;

  • We train and improve teams through events promoted by Pulse, both online and offline.

You can apply for Pulse at any time!

Yeah! If you believe that your solution matches our pillars, you can fill out our form – which is open all year long – so that your start-up is in our database.

Remember: there is no standard deadline for calling start-ups.

The invitation is made when opportunities and challenges arise. Come on, we’re looking forward to working together and solving challenges with you!

Start-ups are new companies, with simple structures and processes and limited capital invested. The greatest differential is that it is a business with exponential growth. Start-ups have a technology-based solution and are looking for a business model that is repeatable and scalable, one that can be applied in several places and has the potential to grow. Through technology, innovation, and flexibility to adjust to the challenges of a project, start-ups are able to help business areas to optimize processes, avoid wasting resources, reduce costs, improve the customer experience, and increase efficiency.
